While outlining the novel use cases for how technology can be utilized to provide specialty consult services across countries, the panel will address specific legal, regulatory, and policy considerations and issues. The following legal and regulatory topics, in particular, will be addressed: country-specific health regulatory licensure and certification regulatory requirements; data privacy legal issues; and risk mitigation/liability issues of note. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how these new use cases are operationalized so that attendees can see how the relevant legal and regulatory topics are accessed and where policy change may be needed for successful future deployment in certain jurisdictions.
