Caren G. Solomon, MD, MPH

Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School and Deputy Editor, The New England Journal of Medicine

Dr. Caren Solomon is a Deputy Editor at the New England Journal of Medicine, an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. At the Journal, Dr. Solomon’s responsibilities include leading efforts related to coverage of climate change and overseeing the ongoing “Fossil-Fuel Pollution and Climate Change” series. She has published and lectures widely on effects of climate change on health and how health care professionals can take action. Dr. Solomon serves on advisory committees on climate change for Massachusetts Medical Society and for the Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and served as co-chair of the Harvard Medical School Faculty Council’s subcommittee on Climate Change. Dr. Solomon graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School and earned an MPH at the Harvard School of Public Health.
